Own a Piece of History - 1948 Cessna 170 Project

1948 Cessna 170 project. No damage, aircraft is complete. Bought in California by local pilot, with dreams of putting it together in spare time. New family got in the way, sold it to us. We cleaned up some corrosion in fuselage and now offering it for sale as a project. Original Cessna 170, with original blue plush interior and black exterior paint. Original avionics (ready for your choice of upgrades).

Total time airframe is only 4123, and 969 since major overhaul in 1975. The plane has sat many years in a heated garage, and most recently in an insulated hangar. Engine is an upgraded O-300A.

New wings in 1976 after off airport landing liking resulting in a ground loop. Wings are zinc chromate primed inside. Fabric was cut to facilitate inspections, likely needs replacing.

Many detailed records, engine was run often but not flown since brought to Canada about 15 years ago. Engine was fogged (internal oil sprayed) once it arrived here.
