This is a primitive moose hunting camp, bare bones, definitely not a Muskoka type cottage. Always said better than a tent. Northern Ontario, Scotia Township. Unnamed lake, two kms east of Scotia Lake and about 3 kms west of Dua Lake. Best access is by float plane. In winter by snowmobile is possible from Thor Lake via Dua Lake. Ideal for hunters of fisherman with a floatplane.
No easy trail access, across rugged terrain. Closest postal address is McKees Camp on CN rail. Access is by driving north of Capreol
Land for sale (deeded) is 0.5 hectares (metric) or 1.25 acres. Log camp building 12' x 26'. Wood stove. camp sleeps four comfortably. Camp roof had partial collapse due to being hit by a tree. Hole and damages were repaired last October 28th. Roof still needs more work, floor and bunks needs to be replaced due to weather damage when roof was open. Estimate to fix about $3500.00 plus transportation costs. Log walls are solid. Good fishing (only Northern Pike). Closer lakes have pickerel, bass and Lake Trout. Two canoes included. Good moose hunting area. Rest of the area 100% crown land for miles around. You are essentially getting the whole lake. The MNR will never sell crown land around this lake. There is Northern Pike in the lake with Pickerel (Walleye), Bass and Lake Trout in the adjacent lakes.
No road or ATV access. This was planned this way to keep people out.
